About Dual Blinds
The light filtering allows light to pass through, making the room bright due to sunlight. The pattern on the fabric of the blind protects privacy by preventing others from viewing the inside from the outside. Perfect for both day and night, our Dual Blinds offers an aesthetically pleasing mood with the sheer layer and a private, focusing room with the darker blind down.
Roller Type
Front Roll
Most roller blinds are made to this type. The front rolls can be seen as a default for roller blinds as it is good and simple. Front rolls prevent the bottom rail from colliding with the handle or frame, while also creating a gap between the window and the blind creating an insulating/warming effect.
Back Roll
This type of roll is used to reduce the gap between the window and the blind itself. If this is the type of roll that is desired, it is crucial to check whether there are any points where the blind may interfere or clash with another surface/area. Although back rolls can reduce the gap to reduce the amount of light passing through, it is not very recommended as the tube part of the blind show at the front – making the blind look less clean.
What? Why?
Dual blinds, also known as double blinds or dual roller blinds, are window coverings that consist of two separate roller blinds installed on the same window frame. Each blind operates independently, allowing you to adjust the amount of light and privacy according to your preference.
Typically, dual blinds consist of one sheer or light-filtering blind and one blockout or blackout blind. The sheer blind is designed to allow natural light to pass through while still maintaining privacy by diffusing the view from the outside. The blockout blind, on the other hand, is made of thicker, opaque fabric that completely blocks light and provides maximum privacy when lowered.
By combining these two blinds, dual blinds offer versatility in controlling both light and privacy. You can choose to have the sheer blind lowered during the day to allow natural light while preserving privacy, and then lower the blockout blind at night for complete darkness and privacy.
Dual blinds are commonly used in residential and commercial spaces where flexibility in light control is desired. They provide a stylish and functional solution for managing privacy and natural light in a room.
